We met Nadezhda Osipova, a USA resident, through Nina Georgizova. Grandma Nadya was born in Rostov-na-Donu in 1934. Her parents were born in Urmia (Iran) and fled to Russian during the Assyrian, Armenian and Greek Genocide (1914-1915). During Stalin’s purges her grandfather Varda Osipov was arrested and some members of the Osipov’s family went back to Urmia but some stayed back in Russia. Grandma Nadya told us about the hardships he family went through. She is hoping that we can help her find her family in Russia.
