This painting depicting the Assyrian people between its glorious past and today: the schism of the Assyrian Church, the destruction of the national spiritual and material values, loss of lands, death of people, genocide, assimilation…

And you see – Mother Assyria cries over the fate of her children.

Almost two last generations of XXI century were inspired by this canvas, it became an impulse or spark for many youngsters to realize that they belong to Assyria.
